Everyone who loves makeup talks about the Big O. The NARS Orgasm blush is an iconic part of the French cosmetic company and at MeccaLand earlier this year, they launched a whole collection designed around it. According to Allure, the the pretty peachy-pink shade came to life in 1999 when François Nars dreamt the concept up. Now two decades later, one blush is reportedly sold every minute.
The Orgasm Collection includes a lipbalm, oil-infused lip tint, loose powder, an oversized blush and a Endless Orgasm palette.
I picked up the lipbalm, oil-infused lip tint and the beautiful Endless Orgasm palette. After using them for a couple of months, here’s my honest review.
The Afterglow lipbalm feels soft on the lips and gives them a nice, natural, pink glow. I use it when I’m going for a natural makeup look or just before I walk out the door for some colour.
The rose-gold packaging is also stunning and looks beautiful in your bag or on your makeup vanity.
Orgasm Oil-Infused Liptint
The oil-infused lip tint has been a life saver for me this winter. It leaves the lips glossy and soft without feeling sticky.
After using it I find my lips are still soft hours later and look luscious. The formula is a slightly brighter pink than the lipbalm so you can use it for a day look or pretty night look.
Endless Orgasm Palette
The Endless Orgasm palette is cheeky just like its name sake, with six satin cream pigments for the eyes, lips and cheeks.
Shade description from http://www.narscosmetics.com
The moment I saw this palette I loved it, the packaging was cute and the colours stunning.
Sadly, after using it, the product itself was a let down.
The colours fade quickly on the lips and eyes. They also crease around the eyes and barely have any pigment.
When the shades are used as a highlighter, the colours all look the same and barely show up. The formula also feels sticky when being applied and I’ve found it sometimes gives an oily shine to the skin.
While the palette is good for a sheer glowy look, I don’t use it for much more and as much as I hate to say this about my favorite brand, the price isn’t worth it.
From Top to Bottom: Super Orgasm, Double Orgasm, Orgasm Fever, Orgasm
The concept of the collection is brilliant, the blush and lip products are amazing but as good as it sounds, Endless Orgasm just misses the mark.
