The Best Four TikTok Fashion Trends

You can’t deny, TikTok has become one of the best social media apps for fashion. After downloading the app for fun in 2020, I became hooked on the videos, but there was always one genre that grabbed my attention: among the endless videos, up and coming models, designers and fashion lovers show off their outfits, both thrifted and new. There seemed to be a fashion trend for every taste, every aesthetic and every style. So, I’ve done the hard work and found my four favourite TikTok fashion trends for you to explore.

1. Dark Academia. Romanticising schoolwork has never looked so good. The traditional academic look brings about visions of endless cups of coffee, poetry, rainy days and ink stained hands. Wear tweed pants, blazer set, sweater vests and turtle necks in black, white and brown to achieve the look.

2. Royaltycore: This trend is taking over the app as Bridgerton lovers drip themsleves in lace and pearls or billowing-sleeve shirts. A corset will go a long way with this trend, just remember to bring your own crown.

3. E-Girl: A mix of the scene aesthetic of the 2000s, KPop and rave culture , E-Girls are the epitome of cool. Mix plaid mini skirts, striped long-sleeved shirts and heart stamps under the eyes. Don’t forget to add some bleach to your hair and a pop of colour to complete the look.

4. Y2K: A blast from the past, the Y2K fashion trend is a reappearance of clothing and aesthetic trends from the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Need some inspo? Think Bratz Dolls, Mean Girls and Clueless and grab some lace camis, baby tees, slip dresses and low rise pants.

What are you favourite TikTok trends? Let me know in the comments.

Love, Erin xx
